Prepare for CTET Exam in one month. The exam aims to enhance the teaching standards in central government schools and now, many private schools are also looking at CTET results before recruiting their teaching staff.

First of all, it’s evident to ensure the exam pattern of CTET. The Paper 1 is of 150 questions from 5 parts namely Child Development & Pedagogy, Evs, Maths and two sections will be from Language 1 and Language 2. Generally, Language 1 and Language 2 is English and hindi.

CTET is an offline exam (pen and paper) that is conducted over 150 minutes. There is no negative marking but candidates should not attempt the questions in a hurry as they might lose out on marks this way. There are total 5 sections in the exam and each question will get you 1 mark. Try and solve the questions that you know for sure first, so that you increase your confidence and secure some marks easily. If you don’t know an answer, use the elimination method to eliminate the incorrect answers and you will be closer to finding the correct answer.

The CTET 2018 Exam Pattern for different posts are as follows:

  • CTET will be Objetivein nature.
  • The Exam Duration will be 150 minutes.
  • There will be different papers conducted for Teacher applying for Classes I-V & V-VIII.

(A) For Classes I-V: Primary Stage

  • The questions in the test for Paper I & II will be based on the topics prescribed in NCERT for classes I – V & VI – VIII respectively but their difficulty could be up to the secondary stage.
  • Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning.
  • Language II will focus on the Elements of Language, Communication and Comprehension Abilities.
  • The language chosen for Language II should be different from Language.
